This free scanner uses Tesseract.js and WebAssembly in your browser. Billig does not receive the selected image or extracted text. OCR models are downloaded from jsDelivr and cached by your browser.

A clear, flat photo gives browser OCR the best chance of preserving merchant names, dates, item text, and totals.

Does Billig upload my receipt image?
No. OCR runs locally in your browser. Billig does not receive or store the receipt image or extracted text.
Do I need an account to scan a receipt?
No account is required to extract and copy receipt text with this browser tool.
Which receipt languages are supported?
The tool supports English, German, or both languages together.
Can I scan an iPhone HEIC receipt photo?
Yes. HEIC and HEIF photos are converted to JPEG locally in your browser before OCR. The original photo and converted image are not uploaded to Billig.
Can I export a receipt to CSV?
Yes. After OCR, download a UTF-8 CSV with one numbered row per non-empty recognized text line. It is raw OCR output, not structured merchant, tax, or line-item columns.
